Today the WHO announced there have been 15 previously unaccounted for cases of bird flu, including 13 deaths, in Indonesia. 41% of deaths from bird flu have occurred in Indonesia. The age group most at risk worldwide is 10-19, particularly females. The recent controversy over Indonesia’s decision not to share samples with WHO have been resolved and WHO is working again with the Ministry of Health.
