Tip: If you are alone and start experiencing a heart attack, you can do what is called auto CPR.
Take deep breaths followed by vigorous coughing continuously till there is someone to help you or pain subsides.
Deep breathing creates a negative pressure in the chest thereby pulling blood from the legs into the heart and also increasing the oxygen content in the lungs and therefore in blood. Coughing creates a positive pressure in the chest which augments the beating heart to pump out blood, ensuring that the vitals organ such as the brain and heart receive adequate oxygen.

Thank you for this post, very informative. I am also interested in heart attack prevention and treatment, so I’m glade to see I found something interesting on this. Heart attack seeme to be not only an american problem, but worldwide people suffer heart attacks and die when they shouldn’t.
