Epocrates for iPhone

Thursday, July 10th, 2008

With the release of iPhone 3G (and software update v2.0), iPhone and iPod touch users can download and install applications. One of the most useful applications is undoubtedly epocrates to lookup drug monographs.

Having installed the iPhone version of epocrates, I have to say that it is very good. An internet connection is no longer needed to view drug information. It also contains a multiple drug interaction checker and pill pictures.

Google Presentations

Tuesday, September 18th, 2007

The much rumored Google presentations has launched.

As expected it is relatively lightweight and does not have the bells and whistles of MS Powerpoint or Apple’s Keynote. However, the features are adequate to put together a simple presentations quickly.

The strong points of Google presentations include collaboration, sharing including real time chat conferencing using google talk widget.

Here is an example of a quick presentation that I created in 10 minutes.
