USMLE Step 2 CS Book Reviews
(I have also created a library for recommended texts for USMLE on Google Book Search)
First Aid for the USMLE Step 2 CS:-
A highly underrated book. It guides the candidate on "what is USMLE Step 2CS", how is it structured and what is expected from the candidate. The book gives a brief overview of history taking and physical examination and lists what to do in case you get a difficult to handle patient. The mini-cases serve as quick revision for the exam. My only gripe with this book is that it only has about 27 practice cases, which may not be sufficient for many candidates.Rating - 4/5
USMLEWorld Step 2 CS Online Course:-
This is the best source of practice cases available. This online course not only has more than 70 cases tested repeatedly on the exam but also has video tutorials on how to perform physical examination (although I idid not like them). The sections on how to take a history and do a physical exam are very brief and well written. Overall if you need to choose only one source to study for this exam make it this one.Rating - 4.5/5
